Brand New!

Launching The Autoimmune Academy | Professional Mentoring Program | Begins January 2024

It’s Friday!

Another busy week draws to a close, and while it’s been hectic somehow there’s been time for shopping. So strange, that.

It occurred to me that I am often in the lucky position of being sent samples or notifications for new products, and I’m also always on the lookout for new foods for the kids and I, non toxic beauty products and non-toxic or health promoting items for my home and garden. So I thought I’d start to share some of the things I have found that I really love or am excited about.

Non-Toxic Beauty Products

I have not yet written anything on the site about beauty or hair products, but I will because it’s a huge part of reducing toxic load in chronic illness. I’m currently trying many different brands in an attempt to find really good quality, effective products and you know what? They have not been easy to find actually. Especially hair products!

This Friday’s Fun Find.

So, the product I’m sharing today is Rosemary Conditioning Hair Oil from Weleda. I’ve been using it on the very ends of my own hair overnight as a treatment and before I go into the pool to try and protect it from the chlorine. I’ve also been using it on my eldest daughter’s hair. She has super curly hair that gets very fuzzy and tangled in the back. I started using it on her one morning, because she cried when the brush got caught in a snarl in her hair. I apply a little, just at the back every second or third day for her and it’s been great, no more knots or tears.

It’s quite a heavy oil, so a tiny amount goes a long way! it also pours out of the bottle quickly, so be aware of that too. I was expecting just a drop or two and ended up with a palmful of oil the first time i used it.

It smells wonderful and definitely makes a difference to my ends.

Also to be aware of, the first ingredient listed is peanut oil, so it’s not suitable for everyone.

Where to buy it.

It’s widely available online and in stores but, in true busy-mum fashion, I got mine from Amazon.

Let me know if you try it and like it and definitely let me know what your favourite natural beauty products are!!

Read more about some of the non-toxic products you’ll find in my home here.

Have a wonderful and healthy weekend everybody and see you again next Friday for more fun finds.
