For the last 9 years I have lived and breathed nutrition, food information and science. One of my most important jobs, is to help people to discover which foods are the right foods for their bodies, and to encourage and inspire lifestyle changes.
Sometimes I do this for people who are quite ill. They have chronic diseases or have been struggling for years with health problems. Sometimes I help people who just want to feel better, to have more energy, better skin, better sleep or perform better at sports or in the work place.
In order to feel and look your best, and to live your best life, you have to be putting the right fuel into your body. Whether that means making a few small but critical adjustments, or a major transformation, I am passionate about sharing that knowledge with you, supporting you with anything you may need, and helping you develop skills so that you are empowered to take care of your health for the rest of your life!
When you work with me, we will take the best and latest scientific research and combine it with your unique needs to develop a healthy lifestyle plan. With the correct nutrition as a base, we will also incorporate supplements, and exercise recommendations, mindful eating techniques, stress management and supportive sleep tips, in addition to helping you bring the fun and passion of food and eating into your busy life!

Here are some nutrition facts that may surprise you.
You’re probably not eating enough fat.
Obviously not all fat is good for you. If fact trans-fats or damaged seed oils are downright harmful. But in our fat phobic society we have eliminated a lot of the good kinds of fat that we need to have great energy, glowing skin, high performance brains and happy hormones.
Carbohydrates are probably the number 1 most important food for health.
This may be surprising to you as carbophobia is the new fat-phobia, but it’s true. I don’t mean processed, refined, sugary white foods that we usually think of as carbs. Rather I am talking about whole, nourishing plant foods such as vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. Carbohydrates contain almost all of the vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to operate optimally, and as a special bones, they contain something called Phytonutrients – colourful healing compounds that protect us against ageing, obesity, brain damage and more.
Food literally talks to our genes.
Food is so much more than just a source of calories. Food is information for our bodies. Special compounds in foods instruct the way our bodies cells behave through their effect on our DNA. It’s one of the ways that foods can change your body and change your life.
Some foods are more addictive than cocaine.
And when we eat them, we literally become addicted. Even when we try to be healthier, you don’t have the willpower to resist the temptation. This is not because you are weak, it’s because your brain’s chemistry has been affected.
